Desde el Instituto Dr. Sallarés queremos llevar tranquilidad a todas las familias de nuestra comunidad educativa y comunicarles que no hemos sido notificados sobre casos de alumnos infectados por la bacteria estreptococo.
En este sentido, es sumamente importante informarnos y trabajar sobre la prevención para cuidarnos entre todos.
¿Qué es el estreptococo?
Es una bacteria muy común– que afecta a todas las edades, pero es más frecuente en niños entre 4 y 10 años y se transmite de persona a persona, pero con un tratamiento adecuado con antibióticos es curable.
¿Cuáles son los SÍNTOMAS?
- Fiebre mayor a 38º
- Dolor y malestar de garganta
- Anginas pultáceas (blancas)
- Adenopatías cervicales
- Lesiones en la piel
- Vómitos
- Rechazo de alimentos
¿Cuándo CONSULTAR AL MÉDICO?
En caso de tener fiebre alta, es muy importante no automedicarse y concurrir al Hospital o Unidad Sanitaria para un control médico.
¿Cómo PREVENIR el contagio?
- Lavarse las manos con agua y jabón
- Ventilar los ambientes
- Cubrirse la boca y la nariz cuando tose y estornuda
- Mantener las uñas cortas y cepilladas
Es muy importante que nos informemos bien y no entremos en pánico ante estas situaciones. Ante cualquier duda, comunicarse al Instituto.
